We had the pleasure of hosting an engagement party in the back room and it was absolutely wonderful. From the managers/owners to the staff everyone was helpful, accommodating and provided exceptional service. They allowed us to decorate and arrange tables to fit our vision . The Christmas decor in the background was beautiful, festive and fun adding an extra special touch . The appetizers and drinks were wonderful and our bartender was very attentive and helpful . A special shout out to Eric Sohn who not only got us confirmed and booked with very short notice he also gave his advice on what appetizers to order etc. He saved me a lot of time and worry! Next time you are hosting a gathering I’d definitely recommend Quintessential! You can’t go wrong and you’ll be happy you did !
Went for Brunch, great time!! Bottomless mimosas were 15 bucks, can't beat it. The skillet was hot and tasty, and everyone was incredibly friendly. Definitely a place to visit again, and next time will go at night when there's more people and more lively music.
My "Q" review. Quintessential is a keeper. We had a party of 6 and 6 people are harder to please, but Q earned rave reviews on the food from everyone. Prices were fairly reasonable, you can spend a lot or a little. Our friend ordered the 14 oz strip... and at $40, you have to hope it's good. It did not disappoint and was cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the Quintessential Chicken with risotto and it was phenomenal and moderately priced at $19, but some entrees were even as inexpensive as $11... so something for every price point. And EVERYTHING was great. Our friend said this has to be the best restaurant on Main Street. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
We had been wanting to go to Quintessential for quite a while despite the many reviews of poor service. When we entered, I immediately thought the decor was unique and it was not crowded, so I thought we had a better chance for better service. We proceeded upstairs because we wanted to sit outside on the rooftop. Again, not crowded. We ordered our food, the waitress was nice. After nearly an hour of waiting and threatening to leave, we finally got our food. It was explained to us that the downstairs had gotten two large parties downstairs. The orders were messed up after all that waiting. The only salvation of the evening was the manager who tried to satisfy us. I think next time we would like to try their Sunday Brunch and give them another chance.
sorry folks - but your service was horrific! We arrived around 6Pm Saturday. Did get seated within a very reasonable time. But that is where the good stopped. Waitress did after 15 minutes did get around to waiting on us. Knowing we may not see her again for a time, we ordered salads, drinks and entrees. Some 30, yes 30 minutes later we got our salads. [do they have to cook those?] Our drinks finally arrived after asking their status some 10 minutes later. [good grief]. The not so happy ending is we didnt see our waitress nor could we get the attention of anyone else to check on our entrees. So, once we saw our waitress at the bar, I got up and asked for our bill -no entrees. The bill she delivered included all that we ordered! I call her attention to the missing entrees and she appeared shocked. With the managers intervention, we were able to get the entrees removed from the bill. That whole experience was horrific - it totally lacked table management. We actually went there because we couldn't get into Tony's on main until after 8. Guess what? It was then after 8. Had a great meal and service there. Would not recommend.....
