Was probed and basically followed by the manager for most of my visit. Having worked in retail myself for over 15 years, it's understandable that they had to rearrange the floor plan and be more aware of patrons after the store was nearly closed for good, but not everyone who shops in a puffer winter coat is a potential shoplifter. Even though I did make a purchase as originally intended, I felt like a criminal by the time I got back out to my car. If I feel the need to do Hallmark shopping in the future, I'll choose to do it elsewhere.
What a wonderful store and staff! It is like a family atmosphere there! I love shopping at Jan's! The selection is great and Tyler, the owner/manager, is the best! When I made a lot of purchases before Christmas he carried them out to my car for me! He even helped us find a lost kitty cat behind his store! Now, that is a caring person! The kitty is now reunited with her family and, most importantly, the 6-year-old child who was missing her desperately! Where do you find service like that nowadays?!?
