Pizza is my favorite food, so when ever we go out of town, we always look for a new pizza place to try. This trip to St. Louis we found Dewey’s. It was amazing! We only ordered a medium, ended up eating the whole pizza except 1 piece, so before we left, we ordered another one to take home. The sauce was amazing, wonderful flavor, didn’t have a huge tomato’s taste, slight sweetness to it. The crust was delicious, slightly crispy, the edges were not left behind, they had a slight buttery taste. One of the best pizza’s I have come across. On top of it all, the staff were the best! Very friendly, helpful, on top of anything we needed, but yet not annoying. Great place!
Fantastic food and service. Figured I would "try" their seasonal Harvet Salad with fig and bacon thinking it was just a marketing thing. But it is likely the best tasting salad I have ever had. Also had the Sargent Peppers pizza which was a spicy but wonderful blend of flavor. You can tell they legitimately about how everything tastes. Type of experience where you plan to just work yourself down the menu if you have a chance.
They have some really good pizza here. The waitress we had was a little slow to refill our drinks but eventually fulfillled all our needs. Overall, good experience.
I asked my partner to take me to Dewey's for my birthday. We both enjoy pizza, and I had heard Dewey's was great. He was already familiar with them so it took no convincing. The parking lot near the business was full but we parked only a block away and enjoyed walking and looking around St. Charles. It was a Monday night the week of Christmas, and there was only a five-minute wait, so we watched the pizza cooks throw dough. Two other parties were also celebrating birthdays, and I see why. It's a casual but classy place. I got a calzone with Kalamata olives, goat cheese, and mushrooms. My partner got a grape-and-walnut salad and the Green Lantern pizza, both of which were so appetizing. I managed not to steal a bite, but it was tough! Unfortunately I only got a picture of his salad--when the entrees arrived, we just dug in, lol. He paid the bill, but based on my mental math, it's very affordable for a special occasion. Our waitress was stellar--at one point she picked up our remaining food to go box up, checked if we needed refills, cleared the table, and brought back a lid so I could take home my dipping sauce for the calzone. We made sure she was taken care of! We live in St. Louis proper, but Dewey's definitely has a new customer in me. Thanks for the great experience--even reheated, that calzone was to die for!
Delicious pizza and excellent service! My favorite is the Green Lantern, but just in general the crust is fantastic. The sauce has a little kick which is good, but when my kids were really young they didn't love it. Now it's among their favorite places! There's a fun glass window to watch the dough prep in the kitchen and the staff entertain our kids! They have dry erase markers for drawing or playing tic tac toe on the window. We (the adults) sat at our table nearby watching while having a beer. So enjoyable all around!
